The word “evangelization” may sound old-fashioned, but you know what? It’s time to revolutionize how we understand and carry it out.
Yes, we have become comfortable with letting our pastors, missionaries and leaders take charge of sharing God’s message, while we enjoy their teachings as spectators or secondary actors. Somehow we believe that this is really their job. However, by acting and thinking this way, we are ceding our voice to others. No more. It’s time to reclaim your voice, put it into action and make an impact.
Your voice matters
Imagine this: every day, in your environment, there are people who, without knowing it, long to hear about God’s love. Above all, they are looking for a place where they feel free, accepted and a happiness that transcends the superficial. In your environment there are many people longing to live faith and connect with the spiritual. Your voice, your story and what you have experienced with Christ are powerful tools that can transform lives.
You don’t need to be an expert or have all the answers. What really matters is your willingness to witness what God has done in your life. Your testimony is unique. Don’t underestimate the impact it can have on others to hear how you see God, how you experience Him, your doubts and how you relate to Him.
Evangelization in everyday life
Evangelization does not have to be a monologue; it needs to be an authentic dialogue. Remember that people connect with stories, not speeches. Sometimes evangelism happens in the simplest moments of everyday life. Your friends, co-workers or family members may be more open to hearing about your faith than you realize. However, they are looking for authenticity and connection, not a scholar. When the time comes, share your faith as it is: with joys, fears, doubts, learnings, etc.
Challenging the rules
It’s time to challenge the status quo. Take evangelization to unexpected places: you can share your experience with God in a bar, in a conversation in a café or in a chat in the park. Look for spaces where people can feel comfortable and open to dialogue. Think outside the box and dare to do things differently.
Music and art as bridges
Don’t underestimate the power of music and art. These are tools that transcend language and culture. Share songs, recommend movies that speak of God’s love through creativity. Art can be a powerful bridge to people’s hearts.

The Great Commission
In Matthew 28:18-20 (Reina-Valera 1960) we read:
“18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” The Great Commission is not just a mandate for leaders, it is a call for everyone, you included! Your voice is powerful and necessary. Don’t minimize it . Go out and share what God has done in you! Don’t hide behind the leaders anymore. Remember that your voice and your story are your high impact tools.
